To celebrate National Sleep in Day, leading pyjama designer Moon River reveals the nation’s favourite iconic pyjama movie moments

Bridget Jones is a top PJ moment

In celebration of National Sleep in Day on 25 October, Moon River pyjamas conducted a poll to find out what the nation voted as their favourite iconic pyjama movie moments. Tied in pole position as most memorable moment in pyjamas is the classic Bridget Jones singing into a hairbrush scene* and the ‘Pink Ladies’ sleepover at Sandy’s house in Grease. In at a close third position was the ‘Spoonful of Sugar’ scene in Mary Poppins.

The Sound of Music fans will be pleased to know that the ‘Favourite Things’ scene was voted fourth favourite with all the Von Trapp children singing in their pyjamas on Fraulein Maria’s bed. This was followed closely by a classic pyjama wearing Audrey Hepburn movie moment in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Results show that if you take a gorgeous female and put her in male pyjamas the viewers love it! Demi Moore has worn the movies leading man’s shirts to bed on a number of occasions. The famous Ghost pottery wheel scene was voted in at number six.

More iconic pyjama movie moments included the mattress surfing in The Princess Diaries 2, handsome Edward Lewis in Pretty Woman and the ‘A Hard Knock Life’ scene in Annie.

The nation’s final favourite iconic pyjama movie moments featured in a number of Britain’s iconic Carry On films. Oooh Matron!

Moon River and Max Brown design luxurious night and lounge wear. Ranging from sumptuously soft bath robes to cotton pyjamas and nightshirts to fluffy slippers and bed socks.
